Bea Edney is a mixed media painter and printmaker based in Belgium. Her abstract monotypes combine watercolour, ink, collage, and printmaking techniques on paper, made by hand without a press. Her works is a balance between spontaneity and precision, layering, collaging, and allowing unexpected marks to emerge. Her studio is a living laboratory where she continuously experiments with new materials and techniques. Enjoying many manual pursuits, she tried upholstery, carpentry and serigraphy over the years. In Printmaking, she found a way to slow down and feel deep joy from the practice.
